Exploring Kurdish EFL University Students’ Beliefs about Language Learning

This paper is an attempt to deal with language learners’ beliefs. Researchers used Elaine Kolker Horwitz’s model (1988), Beliefs about Language Learning Inventory, and they applied it explore the views of Kurdish EFL university students concerning learning. The study aims investigate expose their opinions regarding learning generally, then English more precisely. Its significance lies in exploring beliefs It mainly answers question, “what are English?”. researchers administered a Inventory (BALLI) questionnaire seven universities achieve this aim. includes several viewpoints difficulty learning, foreign aptitude, nature communication strategies, motivation expectations. They collected analyzed results found out that first category, has lowest mean score among five categories. In contrast, fifth expectations, highest score. ended suitable beneficiary recommendations.
